Out with the old…
After 7 years, it was finally time. Time to upgrade my trusty Canon XS/1000D. Shooting with 35mm film cameras has always had me longing for a full-frame DSLR, and I found it in the relatively reasonably priced Canon 6D, Canon’s entry level product. Coming from the XS, nothing feels entry level about it. Solid build quality, lots of options, huge resolution, and incredible in low light. Only a few weeks in and loving every second. I’m going to hang on to the XS as a backup because you can still get great shots with it, and it’s a good camera for Becca to break into shooting with.

That’s it for now. I’m shooting a wedding or two this spring, and also documenting the Maine Yoga Fest in July. I’m hoping the 6D and I will have a busy summer!
